Janine Scheers
I’m Janine Scheers, a driven hair stylist with a deep passion and enthusiasm for this profession. As a little girl I dreamt of nothing other than “making people pretty ”with hair and make-up. I took the first entrepreneurial step a few years ago with “Stoelhuur”—which to this day remains the best choice I ever made! For me, I enjoy every work day with a sense of completion.
LIVE YOUR DREAMS
Now it’s time to live my biggest dream: the start of Salon 54! The best part is that I get to do this together with Mariska. We’re two different hair stylists with our own critical perspective on quality, complementary interests and common vision.
TRENDS
Trends are constantly changing. I find it fascinating to discover the link between various trends and add my own expertise to them. No two clients are the same, and in that sense it is important to look at the person in the chair and together create a look that we both feel good about.
A creation such as a metamorphosis really allows me to express my creativity. By combining a little bit of everything, I can design an amazing result.
Mariska Krikke
My name is Mariska Krikke. In the twenty years that I’ve been working in this field, I’ve built my experience at various leading salons, among which ten years at Rob Peetom. I’ve also worked as a freelance hair and make-up artist for photo shoots and fashion shows, working with many well-known Dutch personalities.
PASSION
My passion is to make people feel and look good with the look that they wish to have. My motto is “Being who you really are makes you happy”(Buddha). The next step in my career is to start Salon 54 with Janine, together with my existing clients and new clients whom I soon hope to welcome.
AMBIANCE
True happiness is found in the little things: music on a Sunday morning, my daughter’s contagious laugh, or being together with my family at my mother’s kitchen table. The wooden table in the middle of the salon is the hub of our beauty lounge. It’s my way of truly looking at the person who is visiting us and what an unbelievable beauty lies within.
